Academic Self-Efficacy Beliefs as a Mediating Variable in the Relationship between Parenting Styles and Psychological Coping Styles

The present study aimed to uncover the possibility of mediating academic self-efficacy beliefs in relationship between parenting styles and psychological coping among tenth grade students Sultanate Oman. sample consisted 598 male female students. researchers used Adjustment Styles Scale, it consists two dimensions positive negative coping. Buri scale was also after adapting Omani culture three styles: authoritative, authoritarian, permissive. an scale. validity reliability scales were established. results indicated presence high levels coping, father’s mother’s authoritative style, authoritarian beliefs.
